The last two days I have had great success with the crappie!!!

I have an Old Hickory bass report I’m putting up as well, but the crappie have been pattern and location has been really simple.

I have had fair success throughout the lake, but there has been one area that has been the most productive. In fact, I have caught over 40 keepers the last 2 days on 4 trees!

If you leave Four Corners and drive towards Long Hunter boat ramp and take the right side of the island in between Mousetail and Ponderosa Islands, there is a ledge that runs for several hundred yards off Ponderosa Island. There are many trees along that ledge in 13ft-18ft. Each tree on this ledge has been loaded with keeper crappie! I have not been able to catch but one on a jig…..everything has come off minnows tight-lined off the bottom 2-3ft.

The flat in front of Hong Kong Island has coughed up a few, but nothing much.

The Youth Camp area just passed the second cut though has been loaded with yellow bass and crappie…..short crappie.

Hope the crappie stay active like this!!!!
