    Good Morning Gentlemen,

My name is Tony Herring. I am a local Nashville fisherman/hunter and I wanted to reach out to my peers to find out if any of you would be interested in participating with a new Military based charity organization.

Last week I was at the Delta Waterfowl event held at the Nashville Gun Club and met Scott Graves with Special Ops Xcursions. Scott is part of a group that focuses on providing hunting and fishing opportunities/trips for active duty special ops military personnel. See a brief description below.

We offer active duty Special Operations Forces members a chance to partner with professional guides & volunteers in the general public for endless opportunities in the outdoors. Through small group excursions, friendships are established that will last for years to come. A daily limit or full tag are just a bonus to the experience. SOX provides fully guided hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, and hiking at no cost to active duty SOF/SF personnel. An average Xcursion consists of 2 to 4 (sometimes more) guests spending 1 day to an entire weekend in pursuit of their favorite game. All guests and volunteers are covered under a general liability insurance.Special Ops Xcursions is a 501(c)(3).

As I spoke with Scott, he informed me that his organization is looking for volunteers to offer a day on the lake or at the hunting club. Of course monetary donations are accepted if you are not interested in taking one of the soldiers fishing or hunting. The catch with the organization is that these trips will be confidential. No pictures with the soldiers are allowed to be posted online because they are all active duty.

It is my hope to spread the word about this organization, I feel that the active duty soldiers get left out on opportunities like this. There are many organizations that focus on wounded warriors and veterans, which is great, but not many I know of that take care of the active duty men and women.

If anyone is interested in helping donate something to this organization whether its a day on the lake, an afternoon in a tree stand, or some good ole fashion cash please contact Scott Graves or myself.

I am not a professional guide or even close to it but I would be more than willing to take these hero’s out for a day on old hickory. Feel free to call me anytime to discuss.

Scott is a first class guy. He’s my cousin and I’m proud for what he has started and how he’s giving back to those who risk all to protect our freedom. I’ll vouch for him.
