Sunday MaY 3 – Want to go back what bait to use?
I went fishing around Poole’s Knob. Put in at Jones Mill Ramp, headed up and around. Stopped at the first corner and started fishing. Caught one short on a Rico topwater. Kept fishing down to the Youth Camp dock. No bites. Fished a spook, Rico, Lucky Craft Pointer, and a watermelon worm. Nothing. Packed it up and went down to Poole’s knob Campground. Didn’t fish the cove, fished the bank just past the cove. Caught another short on a Boy Howdy. Had one good bite by a 2+ on the Boy Howdy. Went back later to same spot and had the same fish short strike a white spinner bait, the only one I had without a trailer Hook! Lesson learned.
I want to go back and fish around the same spot on Mother’s day. Any suggestions on what to throw?
