Got out today from 3 until 7 pm. I always put in at four corners and today all the yahoos were out. 2 boats blocking the ramp so I squeezed in and put it. Turns out battery is dead on his huge, very expensive, runabout. They have the boat wedged on the trailer sideways and they are trying to push it (not a chance they are budging that huge a$$ boat). I unload and dock and then talk to them. I told him that if he had jumper cables I could take one of my batteries out and jump him. He said, “you can take a battery out?”. Uh, yeah, I got 3 of them. 10 minutes later I have their boat running and he back off to his slip. In their defense, they were extremely nice and offered to pay me and I refused. Welcome to the summer!!

Last time I fished was tuesday, water temps were 64 and water was lower. Today water was up full bore and temps were 70-71. Completely threw my fish for a loop. Fished big hump and drop in front of bryants grove (Brian cruised by and waived, that was me in the fisher deckboat). Caught 2 shorts. Spent the rest of the evening fishing the islands and coves around 4 corners. Wound up catching a limit of keepers prolly 12 lbs or so. Fish were still on the same banks were they were. The funny thing is that it is still all wind blown areas. Calm water = no fish for me. Boulder rocks with pea gravel under or close by. I have found 2 banks that I could probably sit on all day and catch fish off and on. about 25 yards stretch on each of them. I tried a few deeper humps with no luck. seems they are still shallower but transitioning soon as the bigger fish I caught where obviously post spawn and long and skinny.
