Thinking of fishing for bass on the subject date with a forecast low of 28 and a high of 58, out of Long Hunter State Park ramp from 7am to 130pm. Need following info, please

    1) Where to find the bass?

    2) What baits to use?

    3) How deep to fish?

Fished today from 12:00 -4:30 and caught 14 bass 3 were 15-17″, 5 were 14″ rest smaller. All on very shallow rock and rock flats with #5 L bill shadrap. My boat was in 1.5 -3FOW. Never saw any feeding bass or and bait fish in the shallows. All seemed to be in the channels.

My partner was throwing the same bait and never caught a fish. Bran could that be because I was in the front of the boat, LOL. I was using 8lb green colored low visibility line with a regular retrieve, pause did not seem to help and he was using 10 or 12lb?

Sounds like one heck of a day!

I would say your partner’s luck has more to do with you presenting the same lure to the fish, in most cases, before him. Typically if I was fishing from the back of the boat, I would throw something different than the person in the front of the boat. If you’re cranking it can be tough to fish a worm, jig, shakey head, etc. but if the opportunity presents itself that can be a good option to trigger a few baits that a power fishing tactic won’t. Otherwise, if the fishing was too fast of one of the aforementioned presentations, I’d throw a spinnerbait, chatterbait, topwater, swim jig, hard head, etc. and probably get a couple baits from fish that weren’t interested in your crankbait. At the very least, I would throw the same lure but in a different color. Just my two cents.
