Wish I could help, but I’ve only been there once myself and only caught 1 fish. I’ll be interested to see if anyone can help out. I like fishing there so with some more info I would go there more often.

I use to fish Tim’s a lot and did pretty good, I fished primarily in the Lost Creek area for smallmouth, focused on primary and secondary points, I liked to throw a green pumpkin jig with a green pumpkin rage crawl, also throw a 6xd in sexy shad. Anderton Branch and Cooper branch are where I would focus my time, good luck, that lake can fish pretty tough

I’ve fished 4 tournaments at Tims in my life (December 2009, February 2011, December 2012, April 2016) and I’ve won money each and every time. I can’t explain why though. It’s a deep, clear lake and I HATE deep, clear lakes. The last time, April 2016, I had 13+lbs and did most of it fishing it like I would Old Hickory or Priest. I covered a lot of water and fished shallow and quick. The other times, which were in the winter, you have to fish really SLOW–and even slower than that–to get your bites but when you do, they’re good ones. I’ve had a limit of smallies there. It can be done and if you do find them, you’ll probably find them all in one place.
I couldn’t really tell you where to fish cause I’ve been all over but I really like lay downs on points. For some reason, whenever I fish a similar lake in Center Hill, I can never catch anything! Go figure.

I realized I didn’t actually include any tips. From what I know, which isn’t much, use a jig or underspin in the winter time. Fish slow and if you find fish, stay there and convince them to bite. In the spring, I only have 1 trip experience, I used traps and cranks and spinnerbaits to do all my damage. Just fished the obvious stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Had better luck this past weekend at Tims Ford . I’ll figure it out sooner or later . Fished Priest on Tuesday from 4-7 pm with no luck . Fished the Smyrna cut through and right side of Fall creek .
