so.. sunday i decided to take my boat, empty it and go clean it. took about 2 hours after cleaning everything rinsed everything off cleaned every inch of this bass tracker. hooked it back up to the truck after it dried and went to park it under the awning, backed it in and got out to unhook it from the truck. wait.. whats that? i hear a buzzzzz noise coming from the motor.. run back to look and my trim was going down like a switch is stuck in the down position.. well now im irritated cause i can disconnect the down wire but then i can only bring it up, no down. i come to the conclusion i had to have got water in a switch somewhere, so i would just leave it disconnected for a few days to thoroughly dry. after getting back from chrurch, i was a bit agitated already, the pond needed water so i turned it on. as i was passing my boat i went and hooked the wire back up, buzzzzz. still trying to go down. so i said i dont have time to mess with this.. one more thing going wrong… as im walking away my hand was on the boat guiding me next to it. my hand hits my trolling motor pedal…. LIGHTBULB.. if you didn`t already know there is a third switch on my boat all the way at the front of the boat, if anything were putting pressure on it.. DUH moved the pedal and now i realized i could have been on the water for the past week if i would have just used my brain.. or maybe if i would have used it less.. lol hope this story can help someone else if this ever happens to you 😀
