I have been helping coach the Franklin High School Fishing team and we have a tournament out of Fate Sanders on Saturday. IF anyone has been having success this week after the big rain, would you mind letting me know what the fish are doing and what the water levels/color is in different parts of the lake. Is it clear anywhere or is it muddy in most places?

I went out last Sunday and fought the wind for most of the day. I fished the back of main lake creeks from the Hobson Pike Bridge to the cove behind Hong Kong Island. I caught four short fish and one small keeper all on a white and chartreuse spinner bait. I fished a few other baits like the rapala L bill crank bait, lost one fish on this bait, and some top water; buzz baits and walking baits with no takers. I concentrated on 0-5ft depths.

The week prior I was having success on a green pumpkin chatterbait with a GP swimbait on almost any piece of wood that was submerged and I could see. It was a short day on the water only out for 2-1/2 hours but we had 6 fish with four keepers. Funny how things change day to day. Any help would be appreciated.
