Triton boat bow panel
Any triton boat owners on here? If so, maybe you have ran into this. I have a 2000 model and it had an old lowrance x49 mounted in the bow panel at trolling motor. I want to upgrade but looks like the new units are too big for the original hole. Anyone ever found a good way to put a new one in and did you have to recreate the whole panel up there or can u buy a bigger one? I’m guessing I’m going to have to make a custom panel but not sure what I’d use to make it. Any recommendations would be great!

All I’ve seen it people cover it with a plate and then mount RAM mount on deck next to it. However, it should be possible to make hole bigger for bigger unit. Maybe call a service shop.
