Anyone know how the TWRA allocates fish to different lakes? Maybe Brian can become a walleye guide. Lol

Thanks for posting. I think it’s super interesting that they didn’t stock any bass in OH. Apparently OH’s bass population is in a good spot… 😯

I grew up in Michigan where northern pike, smallmouth and walleye are the dominant predators. Walleye are considered the premier delicacy by most but many would be shocked at how good a pike can be, they’re just super bony and difficult to clean (correctly) as a result. Having said that, I haven’t caught any walleye since moving to TN, about 5 years ago, but I have caught a couple sauger and those should be regarded as the same as a walleye for table fare purposes.

I just got back from fishing Pipestone Lake in Ontario. We caught a lot of walleye, pike and small mouth. You could fish all day and maybe see one other boat on that beautiful pristine lake.

If you want to fish walleye around here I would suggest Turkey Creek on Tim’s Ford. Slow trolling Long Deep A’s or Lindy rigs with night crawlers (I shoot the crawlers up with a little air from a hypodermic needle so they float well off the bottom). Good luck.
