Not that this will be helpful but I was out yesterday from 4-8pm in the Saundersville/Avondale area and caught one hybrid (frog), white bass (crankbait) and largemouth (football jig). They were all caught offshore on a ledge area that was holding bait. The whites and hybrids were busting on shad around me, hence catching the hybrid on a frog! Don’t know if that’ll every happen again, haha.
I did try shallow a little bit but it didn’t seem like much was going on. Sorry I don’t have much more to go on but this was the first time on OH for me since pre-spawn.
Good luck!

*Bump*
Any updates from the North side of town? I’ve been out the past few weekends on OH with little to no luck. It seems like things are a bit hit or miss right now but just wanted to see if anyone has found anything worth sharing. I’m desperate! 😳

Don’t feel bad. Someone can correct me if i’m wrong, but the BFL(I think) was held at OH this past weekend, and I was told that out of over 100 boats only 5 boats had a 5 fish limit. It will turn on soon I am sure so don’t be discouraged,

Went out with a friend to Drakes Creek Sunday morning Oct 16 th. Put in at Shutes and headed over with the water temperature at 69.8. Wind from the south ended up being about 10 miles an hour later in the morning. We fished grass docks and rocky banks. We started out throwing a rattletrap and squarebill. No hits the first 30 minutes. So then I started throwing a frog in the grass and about 8 out of my 12 bites were frog bites. Only two keepers Lost the third keeper of course that was the biggest. Later we did catch a couple short ones on rattletrap and square bill. Also tried a spinner bait and shaky head with no hits. When we stopped fishing around noon the water temperature was about 72° we also found a school of Shad where a few small ones were caught after we saw them busting. All in all not a bad day as far as action. But only a couple keepers to show. My friend switched to the trout magnet for a while and did catch all kinds of bluegill around docks.

Thanks for the update, Dakota. Glad to hear it might actually be picking up a little bit. How far back in Drakes did you have the most luck?

I fished the middle of drakes and then towards the channel. Didn’t go way back at all. Hope that helps.
