I finally bit the bullet and invested in some Hybrid fishing gear and boy am I glad I did! Yesterday my brother and I went out and pulled in 6 to 8 lb fish as fast as we could catch them! We landed two fish over 10 Lbs, one was a 11.5. We hooked into a bigger one but he pulled the hook as we were about to net him! What great fight though. I don’t know if I’ve had that much fun on a lake in my life! I will try to post a couple photos if I can get them to upload.

Live gizzard shad. It’s all about the bait. Keep them alive and healthy and the rest is pretty easy. After that it’s about like fishing for crappie, it just takes a few extra minutes to boat the fish.

I might take you up on the that if I can find time. I got the pontoon, 1/4 cast net, rock salt, pump, and all!!! I was catching some around Hong Kong Island, but they’re gone! I heard there are some biting around Elm Hill near the humps!

Yeah, hybrid fishing is 85% bait, 14% finding them, and the 1% everything else. Hit me up if you wanting to go. I’ll try to keep tabs on where to find em. Afternoons have been a lot more productive. I’m out here trying out night fishing, and the only thing I’ve caught is the bottom….haha. Lots of fireworks though.
