i think this weeks weather is going to change . drop ten degrees at least and rain everyday somewhat. with these conditions i figure the upperlake creeks and mouths will be muddy. theres been talk on here before about what to do in this situation, but i forgot. should i go toward middle lake or even lower lake and find clear water then scan , expecting to find them deep. any tips helps. thx.

I would go up into the river and creeks and try topwater
, spinnerbaits, and worms. With the cooler temperatures and longer nights the bass are going to be moving shallow.

I’m with Brian on this one.
I’d go shallower, not deeper. Everything that I’ve seen out at Priest over the past couple of trips indicates that the fish are ready for fall. I’m not crazy about running to the upper end of the lake, but that seems to be where people are catching them. On Friday, I fished around Hong Kong Island and the Lavergne Pump house for a bit. There was bait everywhere with small bass schooling on them in 3-5ft of water. I ran back downlake after not being able to get them interested in biting and caught a 3lb largemouth in 5ft off some rocks with a shakey head and lost a huge smallmouth at the boat in 5ft of water fishing a crankbait. PSA :: Switching out hooks on crankbaits really does help increase hookup to landing percentages.

Up lake is the river….down lake is the dam.
