Wednesday with the Little Man
Took the little man this morning from 10 to 1:30. We got into some bass at the point on moustail island. We picked up several in about 20 minutes time on every cast. We were throwing summer craw trick worms on texas rig. The largest was 2lb. Plus… most were keepers. A couple of 10 inch. They were in 1 to 2 feet. Had a ball hooking them and handing the pole off to the boy. He was sure struggling tuning the crank on that reel!!!
I set the hook on one that felt like I had just set the hook on a monster…. the line broke on the hook set. I told my three year old that that was a good one and to watch for him to come up and spit my worm out. Well, I was half right…a ten inch large mouth jumped up and spit the worm out. I must have slammed him up against a rock on the hook set.
Awesome day. Thank you Brian, for our guided trip and these reports. I feel like I am a much improved angler, and it is awesome to be able to take my kids out and put them on some fish.
