I wish I could give you some help. I’ve only fished in that area a couple times with limited success and it was around last fall/winter. I’ve got to imagine with the dropping temps that the fish are starting to locate around any main lake points. You could probably spend a whole day messing around in Drakes Creek but if it was me, I’d probably start by trying some of the smaller creeks that give the fish less options, structure wise. It might be easier to establish some type of pattern this way. I’d try to move fast, checking for bait/bird activity in the area. If there wasn’t much of either, I’d try not to waste much time.

I don’t know how much insight Brian has on Old Hickory but perhaps he can help us out a bit. I’ve found some decent fishing on Percy but it’s quite a drive to get there. Having said that, I think I might try my luck at Old Hickory this weekend. Probably around the Saudersville, Avondale area myself. Brain, any help would be really appreciated!
