Well I love fishing the river when there is current by DAAANNG!!! Put in at east fork and the farther up towards Mona I got the muddier the water was and the current was so bad even with trolling motor on high could barely stay on a spot. Caught one good crappie about 3/4 of a mile up stream on the right where a small creek comes in. Clean water was coming in and it dropped from 3-12 ft. Hit I few more spots with no luck. Water temp was 51.7. Moved down stream passed east fork ramp and started finding crappie on brush that was on transitions from rock to mud banks. The farther towards the fork split I got the more the water cleared up. Every transition I found with brush I pulled at least one good crappie. With current had to use 1/8 oz jig. Dark blue seemed to be the color they liked. Did catch a couple good bass 2 that measured on points the water whipped around throwing square bill crank bait sexy shad color. Bass seemed to be nose against the bank almost in 1ft of water but when they hit they hit hard. Hopefully once the water calms down some that river will be primed and I can’t wait!!!
