We fished both banks all the way from the mouth to the back. My partner really wanted to give it a try. We do fish the outer points in the winter time for smallmouth. As good as it looks with the chunk rock, pea gravel and deep water near the mouth, I’ve never had much success there. Is there anything specific you are doing there for smallies? We usually do the normal stuff – drag a tube around, finesse jigs, sometimes throw blade baits [when it’s super cold].
