I fished Friday from 12-5pm.
Fishing the lower end of the lake, I couldn’t put anything together. I had a good largemouth bite a squarebill, but it didn’t hook up. I tossed a jig in as a follow up. It hit it hard, but didn’t hook up. They just weren’t biting it good. This was all in Hamilton Creek. I did catch a couple of spotted bass in 15ft of water around the old Anderson Road ramp on a football head jig. I also ran over to Porter Wagner point and found some HUGE schools of fish in 15-20ft on the graph. I couldn’t get them to hit anything though. Dropshot, jig, little george… They wouldn’t hit anything. I’ll post a pic of my graph later. It’s crazy how stacked and seemingly active the fish were. I agree with Brian, it seems like the bass are staging up for the fall movements into the creeks. JWater temps 76 in open water to 79 in the shallows. Water was relatively clear.
