Check out my report from today. This will answer your questions. There is no way for me to know what you are doing wrong, the next level help I can offer is going out on the water together on a trip. I can say that the shallow water bite is just about to open up. Your chances of catching fish in the morning are really good. Shallow, 1-3ft is the key.
