    Like degaman said. Get a good GPS and study your maps. I live close to a prop guy and he does a majority of his work on props torn up at Priest. Especially with the drawdown about to start, you’ll quickly find some super shallow water in places you would least expect it. Other than that, the lower end of the lake is easier to navigate in my opinion – Hamilton Creek and Smith Springs are pretty straight forward. Otherwise, always prep your boat for launching before you get on the ramp itself, don’t get discouraged trying to load the boat back on the trailer – it can be tricky, practice keeping boat position with the trolling motor, don’t forget to take your transom saver off before launching (oops)… The rest you’ll figure out through trial and error. Also, if you’re fishing at night, use your navigation lights and always wear a life vest and your kill switch when operating the big motor. Otherwise, just go out and have fun! Good luck.
