These are the same reasons I always launch out of Elm Hill.
Water levels dropping don’t affect the docks, people are always around.
The downside is the $5 fee and during the summer the insane amount of traffic.
I used to put in at Vivrett a lot back when I was fishing out of an old Tracker 175 and towing with a 78 F150 with rusted through floorboards.
I had too many run ins [literal and figurative] with drunk boaters and just people “hanging out” at the ramp.
