This probably sounds crazy…
If you’re looking for brush piles, one of the best ways to find them is to fish a big deep diving crankbait in areas where you know the depth. You will without fail start to snag up in brush in the “likely” places – near drops, on points, along flats. I would try throwing a Strike King 6XD on braid, that way you are digging down to around 20ft deep and will be able to pull free if you are snagged in brush as opposed to rocks. For the rocks, bring a plug knocker with you. I accidentally find brush piles all the time when throwing my favorite or most expensive crankbaits… Hope this helps.
