    Normally I would conclude that first and last light are the best times, however during the winter months it does seem fish feed more actively when the sun is high in the sky. At least that is when I have been getting my best bites lately. Not to mention that’s when the temperatures are most comfortable.

    Also, fish seem to be on the move in groups. I wouldn’t waste a lot of time in any one spot if the bite is not there. Once you catch a fish, keep fishing that location for awhile to see if its big sister is there.
