Last week there were a few evenings the bass, white bass, and hybrids were feeding. Since then I have not seen any activity. The morning bite has been better for me the last week. We have been fishing Sister Cove, next to Fate Sanders Cove in the morning with success. With that said, I would fish the morning in 1ft-3ft with shad raps ssr5 or ssr7, shad color patter. The afternoon bite has been somewhat consistent as well. As the sun rises the water warms from 50’s into 60’s, which is good.

As for a “rule of thumb” for fishing schools of bait, there is none. I feel comfortable leaving schools of shad after 30 minutes without a bite.
